For Castel Mimi we created a special lunch in the surroundings of a festival. The guests got a sneak preview while the building of the festival was still going on. They were welcomed in a silent disco area where they could get acclimated and ready for their first food. They got their first glass of wine and through the headphones they could listen to the first stories of the winery, told by one of our sommeliers.
Also a special message from the winemaker was showed on video screens while his voice was over the headphones like he was standing next to you. On a neatly dressed table the guests were welcomed after the introduction. The 3 course lunch was prepared by famous chef Tommy Janssen (talent of the year, Gault&Millau) and with every course the guests received two different wines to match with the food. With every course, the chef first and the sommelier next explained the dishes and the combination with the wine.
After the courses the next video was shown on the screens, a video tour through the winery to see all their production methods and their vineyards. To finish, the guests were able to have a little walk with a glass of Castel Mimi’s famous ice wine which was combined with a spiced macaron.
